Springhouse on the Road!

April was a busy month for Sheri and the team as they attended a lighting tour of Taliesin West, sponsored by Lutron and Ripple Associates. Hosted in the Phoenix area, the Springhouse team was able to visit quite a few venues courtesy of the sponsors.

First up was a hike (which started with a “challenging” 3.7-mile hike of Piestewa Peak) with our team and our Lutron Lighting sales rep, Emerik Lux with Ripple Associates.

After a long, hot hike, we needed a shower, a nap, and a great dinner. And oh my, Lutron certainly knows how to show a guy and a gal a good time as they hosted our group of 30 home building architects and designers of luxury homes at The Global Ambassador hotel. What a luxurious experience! From the customer service to the accommodations to the artwork to world-class restaurants, The Global Ambassador is a haven of excellence where cosmopolitan style meets warm service and vibrant culinary experiences. Kevin and Sheri’s recommendation, take the tour and book a stay for yourself!

The folks at Lutron know how to provide a group of architectural geeks with plenty of inspiration with a tour of the Biltmore Hotel Arizona, designed by renowned architect, Frank Lloyd Wright. The gardens were spectacular, but The Gold Room was beyond words! A secret speak easy during prohibition, this bar is famous for the many celebrities (can you say Rat Pack) who have partaken of its moody ambiance and soothing libations!

But wait - there’s more!

Built by Italian-born architect, Paolo Soleri, a student of Frank Lloyd Wright, Cosanti is an architectural wonder. Built from the roof down and from the outside in, the structures at Cosanti are a complement to its natural surroundings. Well known for its wind bells, the Cosanti wind bells are still handcrafted using the same techniques and traditional designs that have been used for 65 years. If you’re ever in the Phoenix area, Kevin and Sheri both say this is a must do tour.

Lutron saved the best for last with a Taliesin West tour and dinner under the stars.

This part of our trip feels like a once in a lifetime experience. It made my architecture heart happy. A National Historic Landmark in Scottsdale, Taliesin West was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright as his winter home. Located in the Sonoran Desert, Taliesin West has recently undergone renovations including enhanced lighting by Lutron. From the architectural structures to the awe-inspiring dinner under the stars to the spectacular light show under the dark Arizona sky, this was the perfect ending to an architecturally inspiring trip. Our thanks to Lutron and the team at Ripple Associates for including Springhouse Architects!

Ketra lighting technology beautifully preserves the authentic ambiance of candlelit rooms, illuminating Frank Lloyd Wright's architectural wonder. Twinkling lights with Ketra A-lamps created a magical atmosphere during dinner, perfectly syncing with the sunset's breathtaking pastels. The lights continued to change color temperature and vibrancy throughout the meal, perfectly complementing each course.

Thanks again to Lutron and Ripple Associates for this fabulous opportunity!
