One of the biggest reasons we created our free Facebook community, Springhouse Collaborative, was to lead you through the entire process of custom home-building. Over the years, past clients have mentioned to us that they wished they had known more before diving into their custom home project—in fact, many of our current members are relieved to have a space to share their journey, ask questions, and get down-to-earth, actionable advice from our team.
When building a custom home, you want to start on the right path, trust the right people, and define your priorities and budget before getting the ball rolling. Ultimately, you need to decide what’s important to you—what you really want.
That’s why we’ve decided to launch Create a Home You Love—a weekend-long online course designed to help you navigate the custom home-building process with confidence. This online course is a one-of-a-kind experience that teaches you everything you need to know about custom homes—before getting started. Created and led by Principal Architect, Sheri Scott, this course will walk you through your very first steps before you even have your initial meeting with an architect. Together, we’ll determine your real long-term goals and internal motivators that drive your steps to build a house. Plus, you’ll learn how to set priorities early, establish a budget (and stick to it!), find the perfect location, and choose your team of professionals. By the end of this course, you’ll feel confident, organized, and equipped with everything you need to turn your vision into a reality.
Here’s where we need your help: Before we officially launch, we’ve decided to offer a “beta course test,” which will be free for six people (or six couples) who are considering building a new house. Specifically, we’re looking for people who haven’t even started yet—those with no builder, no architect, no plans. Although our final course will be pre-recorded, the beta course will be live one-on-one sessions with Sheri. Not only will you receive essential home-building information, you’ll be helping us refine the final course with your feedback. Plus, you have full permission to ask hundreds of questions! This will really pave the way for other people heading down a similar path once the course is fully launched and complete.
