Introducing Springhouse Structures

Timing is everything. Like everyone else, at the beginning of 2020, we had no idea the amount of change in store and where these changes would take us. Experiencing a pandemic is without doubt a great disruptor. We all had to adapt to new ways of working, living and learning how to move forward when in the midst of uncertainty. However, in the process of creating our new normal at Springhouse Architects, we’ve discovered exciting new opportunities that we’re eager to share with you.

I want to introduce you to our new custom home construction company: Springhouse Structures. This new venture in to construction is really a natural evolution of the Springhouse Architects custom home process. We have worked with clients through design and construction as their advocate for years. Our most successful projects have come when we had the opportunity to guide clients all the way to move in. Now, with Springhouse Structures we are simply building on what we know. We know beautiful, custom family homes. This is our world and we know how to make it lovely.

For many years, the Springhouse team has talked about taking this leap into construction. Surprisingly, COVID-19 created the perfect timing to finally make this pivot. While I have desired to make this move for a while, I know what I don’t know.  And so, I looked for an expert to join our new venture. I reached out to Rick Inesta to see if he would be interested. 

Rick and I crossed paths in 1996. I had just had my first baby and was searching for a job that would support me as a working mom. I found a great place that would become my architecture home for twelve years. Rick was working at Atelier Design yet was ready to move on. I took his position there and since that time we have both been in this local world of architecture and home building. 

Luckily, when I reached out, Rick was ready for a change. Although he had intended to get back into the residential world sooner, changes brought about by COVID-19 was what gave him the final push to get back to what he loved. Timing really is everything. My offer came at exactly the right time and Rick agreed to team up and help me create Springhouse Structures. Rick brings over 30 years of experience to Springhouse including over 15 years of 3D modeling experience. His expertise allows us to jump right in on project work. Springhouse Structures has bought two spec lots in Springboro, on which we will design unique, lovely, homes. 

Just to be clear, Springhouse Architects isn’t going anywhere. We are designing custom homes, custom offices and interior projects for our discerning clients. Our focus remains on designing for wellness; spaces that are healthy and support your wellbeing. Springhouse Structures allows us the option of offering design-build services as an extension of our existing team approach to design. We look forward to our first spec house projects and collaborating with you on future full service projects. We can’t wait to get started!
